Diary in English7/3

Today is Monday. The first day of the week.
This morning I went to a supermarket near my house and bought some vegetables;onions, mushrooms, cabbage, carrots, radishes and tomatoes! I wanted to make some* vegetable soup for my diet. Actually I've gained some weight these days :(

Here's a picture of my soup.🍴

Then I watched FRIENDS on Netflix while eating this soup.
It tasted* good and FRIENDS was also good! (I'm into "FRIENDS" now. It's really funny!)

Then I practiced English for about 2 and a half hours with online teachers.
It was difficult for me how to pronounce* "vegetable." My teacher told me that I should pronounce it veget"e"ble, but I pronounced it veget"a"ble several times.

I should practice English even harder! So I'll review today's lessons after I finished writing this dialy.

*A particularly common and useful English word we use a lot is "some" which is great way to make your writing sound more natural and also sort of works as a counter for objects. "I cooked soup" isn't wrong, but it sounds much more natural to add the "some" in front of it. Also, while you technically do cook soup, in everyday speech specifically for cooked food, we almost always say "make" (made in the past tense.) We do say bake(d) and grill(ed) more often, but you can still say "make (made)" instead.

*"The taste was good" is an odd way of saying some food was tasty. It sounds like an incomplete sentence the reader can guess something from, like "The taste was good... (but the texture wasn't.)" "It tasted good" or "it was tasty" doesn't have this problem and is more natural.

*You wrote "pronounce" with only a u. I made a similar mistake A LOT up until just recently as well. I'd write "pronunciation" with an extra o (pronounciation.) It's pretty weird that pronounce is written -ou- but pronunciation is only written with a u.

Diary in English7/4

I got up at around 8 o'clock this morning then I reviewed the lesson I studied yesterday and practiced English speaking with my online teachers for an hour.

It was cloudy, but the weather forecast said, "It'll rain this afternoon." So I did the laundry during the morning.
Then, when I ate the vegetable soup which I'd made yesterday for lunch, it started to rain.

At 4 pm, I went to a hospital that specialize in skin diseases. I went to the hospital because I have some pimples :(

Afterwards, I had dinner with my friends. We are going to travel around European countries this September. (Then I am going to go to the UK to study English and work there!)
We planned the trip schedule. We might visit the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy and Spain. (We have to check whether we are able to afford it.)
It was really exciting and we can't wait to travel together.
