Diary in English7/9

There's a thunderstorm and it's raining today.
So I just stayed at home all day.

I studied phrasal verbs:settle for, count on, fall behind, sort out, do over, stick to, take back, cut out, keep up and go with.
I made sentences for review.

・I wanted to get the blue shurt, but I settle for the green one.*

* he's always been too proud, so am not surprised if he won't settle for less.

・I am counting on my boss to succeed in the big project.*

* I am counting on my boss for tomorrow's trip

・I fell behind with my homework.*

* I fell behind on my monthly payments

・Please sort out these papers.*

* You need to sort this whole mess out by yourself.

・You cleaned your room, but it's still messy. You should do it over.

・He sticks to his opimion.*

* she sticks to her guns.

・I'll take this report back to you. You need to proofread it.

・We should cut out the phrase. It isn't suitable.

・You should keep up your practice. Your English is improving gradually.

・I couldn't decide between a white chair or a brown chair. Finally, I went with the white one.

Thank you for your correction Williams on italki!

Diary in English7/10

We had heavy rains yesterday, however today is quite sunny.
I stayed up late last night because I was not able to fell asleep so I woke up at around 10 am this morning.
After taking a shower, I studied English with my online teachers from 11am to 12am. I booked one of my favorites teachers for a  lesson today, and I enjoyed his class.
Then I chatted with my friend who is Vietnamese for one and half hours on skype. We got to know each other on italki. She can speak English fluently. We talked about a lot of things; our jobs, how to study languages, our lives, our countries etc. The conversation was always fun! I hadn't been able to catch on to what she said at first because she spoke English quiet quickly, but I came to be able to understand what she was saying garadually.

She said, "English is easy. But Japanese is complicated." I also think so.
It is difficult for me to speak English but Japanese is complicated because It has "hiragana", "katakana" and "kanji" and different levels of politeness, including "keigo."

She is worry about her job in Japan (She will come to Japan!), but I'm sure she will be able to find a job in Japan because she can speak Japanese enough and she is a smart woman!

Thank you for your correction Riah and Colin on italki!
